We just released our TACG 218 challenge coins. These challenge coins represent the TACG 218 team showing off the squadron’s motto of AD PACEM or “towards peace” with a removable sword that features the saying UNA VI or “one force” on the blade.
The coin symbolically has the twin dragons on the front of the coin showing the opposing forces of order and chaos, which are slain by the sword to make a unified command. The aircraft flying over the dragons and the skull indicate air superiority and how our desire to live free overcomes the death that awaits us all (shown by the skulls).
The back of the coin features a shield for protection as we continue our war effort as a group, and the crossed and removable swords make a trinity that implies the balance and effectiveness of the combat aspects of the air, ocean, and ground forces.
Overall this challenge coin makes a great addition to what makes TACG 218 special and a unique squadron in the DCS World community. We will give these challenge coins to our squadron members who support the team through our Patreon or their squadron’s selection each quarter.
